How long will the appointment last?

Will the eyes be dilated during the visit?

There's a possibility your eyes may be dilated if you're having a comprehensive eye exam. Dilation helps the doctor examine the back of your eyes. If your eyes are dilated, your vision may be blurry for a few hours.

Should I arrange for someone to drive me home or take a cab after the eye examination?

Our advice would be to have someone drive you home or use a cab as your vision might be temporarily blurry after dilation if the eyes are dilated.

How long does cataract or retina surgery typically take?

Most cataract and retina surgeries are completed within 1-2 hours. This includes pre-op preparation and post-op recovery time. However, the duration can vary depending on your situation. Please consult your doctor for additional details

How soon can I resume normal activities after surgery?
